Everything You Wanted to Know About IPPs But Were Afraid to Ask!
Apr 19, 2010 --- Everything You Wanted to Know About IPPs But Were Afraid to Ask!
Special Meeting Saturday, May 15, 10 am to Noon
Lanterman Developmental Center, Auditorium
The Individual Program Plan (IPP) is a person-centered planning process, which lists the separate services and supports that persons with a developmental disability need to meet specific goals.
With the proposed closure of Lanterman, the Individual Program Plan becomes even more important. The Department of Developmental Services, in the closure plan that they have submitted to the Legislature, states Residents will not move from Lanterman until appropriate services and supports identified in the individual plan are available either in the community or at another DC.
Does the IPP of your loved one reflect everything that they need to ensure that they would be able to live a full life with safety and dignity, whether or not they live at Lanterman, at another DC, or in the community?
Attend this special meeting to find out how you can improve your relatives IPP, what you should include in their Preferred Future, where additional resource materials may be found.
